Lexair Inc.’s Next-generation Collet Closer Offers Flexibility and Functionality 

LEXINGTON, KY (July 30, 2021) – Lexair Inc. announced their next-generation collet closer today, the Flex Grip™ Collet Closer, which features an improved compact design supporting the ability to be clustered onto a fixture plate.

The Flex-Grip™ Collet Closer utilizes Hardinge® FlexC collets and other quick-change collet brands.

This product features a redesigned collet closer, newly developed modular manifold blocks, proven connector bushings, a simplified disconnect receiver, and remodeled hydraulic power unit to work seamlessly together providing a simple, compact, and dependable workholding solution.

The collet block capitalizes on the advantages of the Flex style collets resulting in a low-profile fixture with the ability to change over collets in seconds. The low-profile components minimize the use of the machining center’s Z-axis travel. 

The Flex-Grip™ Collet Closer is currently available in 42mm with plans to expand the product line to include 65mm and 80mm sized collets.
